The lack of knowledge makes people outside have a large prejudice from this contrasting land called Brazil. A considerable number of foreign people think that Brazil is a big jungle near a wonderful beach where it’s possible to have women, caipirinhas drinks, drugs and fun all time, as if carnival happened all the year. And there is another part that thinks just in traffic, violence, prostitution and poverty, such as underdevelopment country as it is, though much more worst, and they don’t have any kind of curiosity to know better this place. This essay will expose the contrast of the concept of foreign people and the reality lived by Brazilian population.


In a violent paradise where football implies holiday, blends of colors, flavors, smells, women with or without clothes, carnival and samba, people claims justice, healthy and education. This is the reality. However, the concept of Brazil is too generalized. It is proved that the world population judges the unknown. Majority of people take a little number of famous cases and made their own superficial judgments. It is possible to take as an example the cartoon called The Simpsons where the family goes to Rio de Janeiro and deal with monkeys and other wild animals at the urban area. It is a funny and prejudice joke. Diversity, creativity, overcoming and beauty are far from the real concept of Brazil for such uninformed people.

However, in Brazilian community it is possible to divide the population and their concepts from the social position. Depending on this it is possible to evaluate how the Brazilian individual judges the mother land. As a poor person who works hardly to have at least something to eat this is the most unfair place to live, without the basically of education, healthy and dignity, while for a person from middle class the concern is concentrated on how to keep money, study, how to earn money and enjoyment. For both parts there is the normal trouble involving the lack of security. Unfortunately Brazilian people just have what they can pay for because what is offered by the government is such a shame. And even with all kind of problems, Brazil keeps a humanity and friendly population. Another important fact that needs a note is Brazilian geography. With all kind of natural species of plants and animals, his rich soil and clean waters, Brazil changes the mind of prejudice people.
In fact there is a sort of problems and a number of precipitated judgments, which results in a multiplied prejudice; in addition there is the Brazilian understanding of how to deal with old and common problems. Always smiling and with a will of a fair place, Brazilians go on their lives without the concern of the concepts attributed to them from foreign people and being always friendly, independent of the concept.
